Bartosz is from and based in Poland. He is happily married, and the father of 2 cats.

Fun fact: Bartosz recently got his skipper license and is currently working on further developing his experience and skills as a sailor!

Why do you like working at floatist?

I like working at Floatist because of the (obviously) great team. Even though everybody has a strong skillset as an individual, everybody is a team player. The interesting and modern technologies we use satisfy my inner nerd. We've got both hard technical problems and product design challenges. It's a great driver for me and hearing the positive feedback that we get from our customers is further reinforcing that. Plus I'm a noobie sailor with big ambitions so it's all relevant to my personal interests!

How has working at Floatist impacted you and your development skills?

It has given me a lot of perspective. I have a much better understanding of the industry and the oddities specific to it. From technical perspective, I can see first hand how to manage future growth potential and what trade offs to make. Ultimately it makes me a better developer who can write code that makes customers happy.

What do you think of the working remote structure within Floatist?

I really like the flat structure we have at Floatist. What makes it work really good is that everybody is working as a team with the same common goal. Knowledge sharing is encouraged, even if not directly related to the task at hand. It's easy for me to understand where we are and where we're headed both as a company and a service for the user.

Why did you decide to join Floatist?

The desire to disrupt the yacht charter industry immediately caught my eye and piqued my interested. The more I read about the company, the product and what the people at Floatist want to achieve the more interested I was. After I had a talk with both of the founders I was sold!
